Using a PTE essay writing template will help you:
Every minute during the exam is precious, and it’s difficult for many candidates to think and put their ideas in a proper order under the pressure of time.
Yet, with the framed outline, you just need to place your thoughts in suitable paragraphs.
It will help your essay flow smoothly and allow you to complete the task on time.
Coherence and cohesion are important criteria in the essay writing task.
And a ready-made structure is a key to achieving them.
By using templates, candidates can keep a logical and consistent flow of their essays.
Plus, they will have more time to think about the content quality rather than focus on the outline.
Templates are usually generated based on necessary elements that you need to include in your writing.
It ensures that you don’t miss any of them and can achieve the maximum score.
Let’s explore the basic PTE essay writing template:
This section should include 2-3 sentences showing clearness and conciseness.
You should start the first sentence as a drawing attention tool to attract readers.
It can be an interesting statement, background information, or a question.
Then, paraphrase the prompt to show that you understand the question.
Lastly, end the introduction with a clear statement of your viewpoint or argument to lead readers to the next paragraphs for details.
Candidates should start the first main body part with the first main point by writing a clear topic sentence.
Then, you need to back up your point with reasons, evidence, and examples.
They will strengthen your argument and make your idea more relatable and concrete.
At the end of this paragraph, you should write a linking sentence to connect to the next part smoothly, guaranteeing the essay’s flow.
Here, again, you’ll need a topic sentence to express the second main point.
It can be for or against the idea in the first paragraph, depending on the essay type.
Then, provide supporting details such as reasons, evidence, and examples for further clarity.
They’re necessary elements not only for a credible argument but also for a well-organized structure.
Lastly, you need a small transitional sentence to summarize the idea of this paragraph and move to the last part of your essay.
Here, use a strong statement to summarize your main points discussed in the body parts.
Rewrite your argument in a slightly different way, and end with a close thought or call to action.
The ideal length for this part is 2-3 sentences.
Note that bringing up new ideas in the conclusion is not accepted.
Here are some tips to keep the useful templates in your mind:
Breaking a PTE essay template into manageable sections is the first way to memorize it.
You can first learn by heart the introductions, then the two body paragraphs (one by one), and finally, the conclusion.
Once you memorize all of them, connect them together.
Some people are good at “studying by eyes,” and that’s when the visual aids come into play.
If you’re not a traditional learner, stimulating aids or flashcards can be your effective tool.
You can also try to use color-coded cues for each section and create a visual representation for the outline.
Reading aloud is one of the techniques for memorization.
Choose a PTE essay writing template and read it out loud several times until you think you have it all in your mind.
Put the template away and repeat without looking at it.
Lastly, don’t forget to apply these templates to writing practice.
The more you work with them, the better you’ll remember.
With more practice, it also will be easier for you to recall and apply the proper template during the real exam.

Question: Today, mass media is full of information revolution. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this phenomenon.
Answer:
Nowadays, mass media brings a lot of information revolution that has a big effect on how people access, use, and share knowledge. Its impacts on society can be both positive and negative. This essay will discuss both sides of a coin.
One of the biggest advantages of mass media is the speed of sharing information. People in the past needed to rely on newspapers or TV to know what was happening around them. However, nowadays, we can easily access news on any channel and social network, whenever and wherever we are. It creates opportunities for people to learn, gain knowledge, and take part in global conversations.
However, rapid information spreading also has its downsides. One of them is false content that can mislead people. Due to the fast sharing and overloading of information, it’s difficult for us to recognize the important and credible ones. It can even lead to serious consequences, especially when it comes to health, security, and politics. For example, sharing unqualified knowledge about using a medicine will lead to people using it improperly and cause unwanted results. People who share it may face a legal accusation. Therefore, the disadvantages of mass media are undeniable.
In conclusion, there are both pros and cons of the information revolution brought about by mass media. The speed at which information travels can benefit people’s knowledge but also raise the challenge of privacy and misinformation. Thus, striking a balance will help us maximize benefits and address the negative impacts.
This question type will give a point and ask candidates if they agree or disagree. You need to choose one opinion and back it up with evidence and examples.
Question: Some people consider banning smoking in public places necessary. Do you disagree or agree with this opinion?
Answer:
Banning people smoking in public has been a debate for a long time. Many people agree with the prohibition, while others think it violates personal freedom. In my opinion, smoking should be prohibited as I see how it poses risks to non-smokers and the environment.
Secondhand smokers are victims of smoking in public. Many researches show that inactive smokers are in more danger than the smokers themselves. They need to suffer from the risk of lung and heart disease or even cancer, even though they just inhale a small amount of smoke. It’s especially dangerous for children and the elderly, whose immunity is weak. If the prohibition on public smoking is applied, it can protect people from unwanted harmful effects.
Moreover, smoking in public spaces has a bad influence on the environment. Cigarette butts are one of the most common litters in the world. They are often discarded on the streets, creating a dirty scene and pollution as they take years to decompose. It’s not to mention that the chemicals inside cigarette butts may leach into the soil and water sources, causing harm to wildlife. Therefore, prohibiting smoke in public spaces can help save the environment.
In summary, we can’t deny the bad effects of public smoking. Therefore, I support its prohibition to protect the health of non-smokers and create a more pleasant environment.
In this question, candidates will be asked for their opinion on a specific topic and need to provide examples to support it.
Question: Some people believe that parents should be held legally responsible for their children’s actions. Please share your views with personal examples.
Answer:
Children’s wrong actions can lead to serious consequences, calling for the legal accountability of their parents. Yet, at the same time, the autonomy of minors exists, so that a child should take responsibility for his actions. In my opinion, parents should be legally accountable to some extent, but not all.
One of the main reasons for parents’ responsibility is that the children’s development depends largely on parent’s behavior and teaching. A mother or father should set the boundaries of right and wrong, pose examples, and model behavior. One time, I read a news article about a 16-year-old boy who killed a 14-year-old boy due to conflict. Though the father of the at-fault child knew there would be a fight, he did not take action to stop it from the start. His indifference and inadequate supervision led to a terrible consequence.
On the other hand, children should learn how to take responsibility for themselves. Young people are easily influenced by many factors outside of their house, such as social media. Though parents can observe and correct their kids’ behaviors, they can’t be there all the time, especially with older children who need more freedom on their own. A child can be misled by a group of friends on the Internet and make a poor decision. In this case, I believe even though the parents might need to share the responsibility, the child needs to be the main one to be held accountable for his actions.
In conclusion, parents’ legal accountability for their children’s actions is necessary in some cases where they did not fulfill their teaching and observing responsibilities. However, since children of older age already have the ability to consider and make decisions on their own, they should be responsible for their actions. In short, accountability should be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Memorizing a PTE essay template will ensure task completion within the time limit without sacrificing clarity and coherence.
The basic structure includes an introduction, 2 body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
By repeating and practicing, you will remember the template and know how to apply it flexibly according to different types of essays.
