Part 1: Speaking & Writing(77-93 minutes)

How can I book the PTE Academic exam?

You can register online through the official Pearson PTE website:https://www.pearsonpte.com/ Choose your test date and location, and complete the payment to secure your spot.

The cost of the PTE Academic varies depending on your country. Typically, it ranges from $180 to $220 USD. Some locations may also charge additional fees for late registration or rescheduling.


PTE Academic scores are valid for two years from the date of the exam.


You can reschedule your PTE test for free if done more than 14 days before the test, with a maximum of six reschedules allowed. If less than 14 days remain, rescheduling is not possible, and you must cancel and book a new test, which may incur a fee. Cancellation provides a full refund if done at least 14 days before the test, a 50% refund between 8-13 days, and no refund within 7 days. Pearson reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tests, offering a refund or new test date. In cases of illness or family emergencies, you may request a free reschedule by submitting evidence, but approval is at Pearson’s discretion.


Yes, you can take the PTE Academic Online version, which allows you to take the test from home, provided you meet the technical and environmental requirements. However, the online version may not be accepted for visa applications.


For the PTE Academic exam, a valid, government-issued passport is the primary and most commonly accepted form of identification. It must be presented at the test center or during the online test check-in process. In some countries, other forms of government-issued ID, such as a national ID card, may be accepted, but this is rare and depends on local regulations. Always check the specific ID requirements for your test location when booking your exam to ensure your ID will be accepted.
