On November 15, 2025 (Hanoi), the SEI Awards 2025 (Smart Education Initiative Awards) recognition ceremony was organized, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
This event is part of the EDTECH VIETNAM Forum on Technology and Digital Transformation in Education. It aims to honor organizations and businesses that develop digital technology products and solutions in the education sector, as well as to promote the application of information technology, digital technology, and digital transformation.
After two strict evaluation rounds, the Jury selected 71 enterprises out of over 200 applications nationwide, with 91 outstanding products and solutions across three categories: Educational Environment of the Year, Educational Innovation of the Year, and Educational Impact of the Year.
These organizations significantly contributed to the innovation of education, banking, finance, and technology, with pioneers like Vietcombank, VUS English Center, RMIT University, and SotaTek. Regarding education, Lume Test was recognized as the Educational Innovation of the Year 2025, underscoring its leading role in transforming education using technology (EdTech).
Founded by Moni Vuong, who has recently been named among the Top 10 EdTech Women in Southeast Asian, Lume Test is an AI-powered online test-preparation platform that covers IELTS, TOEIC, PTE, and Duolingo. It took Lume only two years to be honored with the Educational Innovation of the Year 2025 since its debut in 2023.
This is all thanks to its innovative approach, which integrates AI into automatic scoring, learning progress analysis, and personalized training courses. Along with the student-oriented platform, the company also developed an all-in-one Learning Management System (LMS) called Eduhub, highlighting its commitment to developing EdTech comprehensively.
The Lume Eduhub empowers foreign language educators to track learning progress, automate scoring, manage classes, and streamline preparation for exams like IELTS, PTE, and Duolingo English Test.
This helps English teachers, tutors, schools, and centers enhance teaching efficiency and facilitate scaling across branches and expansion into new markets. The system has been trusted by over 200 tutors and centers worldwide, allowing them to manage 500,000+ students.
The SEI Awards is a meaningful step towards digital transformation in the education sector. By elevating and selecting organizations and individuals with outstanding initiatives, the event helps measure the effectiveness of digital transformation and innovation in educational institutions and encourages further digital adoption.
The program also creates a platform for schools and educational units to meet, exchange experiences, and share best practices in building learning environments, teaching methods, scientific and technical research, and educational innovation.
At the same time, it strengthens connections between government agencies, scientists, research institutes, universities, and businesses, enabling support, consultation, technology transfer, and the development of the digital economy.
The honored initiatives serve as valuable practical data for Vietnam’s science and technology activities in the education sector to move into a new stage of standardization, systemization, and optimization, further driving innovation and digital transformation that align with global trends in 2025 and beyond.
