The IELTS test is administered by the British Council and IDP, which are globally organized.

The British Council, based in the UK, provides the test in over 140 countries.

They offer both paper and computer versions of the exam.

Flexible test dates and many payment options make it easy to take the exam.

The organization also gives expert advice to help candidates get ready for the test.

IDP is an Australian organization established in 1969 that also conducts the same IELTS test.

The process is quite simple, including registration and booking.

Just like the British Council, IDP offers paper-based and computer-based options.

Both organizations guarantee the same quality of the test around the world.

How To Decide Between IDP IELTS Vs. British Council?

Location

Location is one of the factors to consider when it comes to the first IELTS IDP and British Council difference.

Although both have a wide network of test centers, the location could be different.

Thus, it is necessary to check the nearby centers while registering for the exam to find the most convenient one for you.

If the center is close to your home, it will reduce stress.

You will also have more time to relax before the exam.

With less travel time, you will feel alert and ready.

This reduces the chances of being late due to traffic or transport issues.

This helps you begin your exam day feeling calm and ready.

Availability Of Tests

The dates of the exams can vary between IDP IELTS and the British Council.

It may not be easy to find a good time, especially if you are very busy.

So, it is important to pick the provider that gives you the best choices.

Also, consider whether you want to take the exam on paper or a computer.

Each type can be available at different test centers.

Many candidates like using headphones during the listening part.

Therefore, make sure to find out which centers offer them so you can focus better during your test.

Fees

IELTS test fees may vary between IDP and the British Council.

While the exam itself will remain the same, the providers can set different fees.

Thus, comparing the fees before booking your tests online is necessary.

The British Council and IDP also offer promotions and gifts like shopping coupons or free transport to the test center.

All of these extras should be taken into consideration when choosing which provider to use.

When looking at both the price and the promotion, you will make an optimal decision.

Service Levels

Service levels are also important when you book and take the IELTS exam.

Test-takers always want to feel sure and supported by skilled staff.

A good provider will guide you in selecting the appropriate test, whether it’s Academic, General, or UKVI.

They will also provide useful resources for your study.

It’s wise to look at reviews from other students to choose the best provider.

These reviews can be found through Google or Facebook groups, which help you make a good choice.

Availability Of Test Date

The test dates could be different between the organizations

Therefore, it’s best to pick a date when you are ready and confident in yourself.

Also, make sure that you have enough time to prepare before you actually book the exam.

Which One Is Better?

IDP vs British Council, which is easy?

The answer depends on your preference.

Both have the same test format and scoring.

You can choose a test center located near your place to reduce stress and have more time to prepare.

Besides, if you want to use headphones for the listening test, check which center has them.

Also, look at the test dates to find the one that works with your schedule.

Both are reliable, but the best choice depends on your location, preferences, and schedule.

Conclusion

Both IDP IELTS vs. British Council offer the same test format and scoring.

The ultimate choice comes down to your personal preferences.
