TOEIC Part 7 is the last and largest block of the Reading section: 54 questions built on business texts you would actually meet at work — emails, notices, adverts, articles, chat threads and forms. It splits into 29 questions on single passages and 25 questions on multiple passages (double and triple sets), and it shares the 75-minute Reading clock with Parts 5 and 6.

Question 9 is the cross-passage question every double set contains: the offer is in the first e-mail, the refusal is in the second, and neither text answers it alone.

Most candidates who run out of time lose it in Part 5, not Part 7. If a Part 5 question is not clear after 25 seconds, mark a letter and move on.

About 55 minutes. Part 7 is not timed on its own: the Reading section gives you 75 minutes for Parts 5, 6 and 7 together, so your Part 7 budget is whatever Parts 5 and 6 leave you.
Detail questions do. Purpose, inference and “NOT mentioned” questions draw on the whole text, so they do not.
No. Single passages run from a short text-message chain to a full article. The number of questions rises with length — 2 questions for the shortest, up to 4 for the longest single passages.
It is longer, not necessarily harder. Part 5 tests grammar and word choice in one sentence; Part 7 tests reading speed and locating information. Candidates lose more marks in Part 7 because they arrive there with too little time.
