Part 1 rule from these two: when a photo has people, the answer usually describes an action in the present continuous. When it has none, the answer usually describes a state with a passive or a present perfect.

Pattern: in seven of these eight, at least one wrong option repeats a word from the question. Treat repetition as a warning, not a clue.

Technique: the three answers appeared in the order the questions are printed. That holds in most Part 3 sets, which is why reading the questions first works.

Technique: the purpose sits in the first two sentences, and the detail questions follow the order of the talk. Both are standard for Part 4 announcements.

Note on question 29: the option that fits is the one whose meaning links to the next sentence, not the previous one. That is the standard Part 6 insertion pattern.

Distractor note on question 33: option C is close but wrong. September claims are not refused — they must be re-entered. TOEIC builds this kind of near-miss deliberately, and re-reading the exact sentence is the only defence.

The cause column is the one that changes your study plan. A knowledge gap needs a rule, a technique error needs a habit, and running out of time needs pacing practice — and studying more grammar fixes only the first.
Partly. Transcripts train the question technique that carries most of the marks — reading questions ahead, mapping first words in Part 2, spotting word-repetition distractors. They cannot train processing speed at the audio’s pace, so use both.
200: 100 Listening across Parts 1 to 4 and 100 Reading across Parts 5 to 7. Listening runs about 45 minutes and Reading has a fixed 75 minutes.
By part while you are learning the rules and the technique, then in mixed timed sets from about three weeks before your test. Mixed sets train the switching cost between parts, which single-part practice hides.
After at least 48 hours. Redoing them immediately tests whether you remember the answer, not whether you understand the rule, and it reliably overstates your progress.
They follow the real formats, question stems and distractor types. Any practice set can only approximate the difficulty of an equated official form, so read your results as a guide to which parts need work rather than as a score prediction.
